What Is Angel Food Ministries?
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities
throughout the United States. The program began with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia in 1994 and has grown to serve tens of
thousands of families across the United States.
Angel Food's groceries are sold by the box at $30.00 per unit. Each month's menu consists of both fresh and frozen items
with an average retail value of approximately $60.00. One box of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week,
or a single senior citizen for almost a month. the food is all the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store
- not damaged or out-dated goods.
There is no limit to the number of boxes an individual can purchase, and there are no applications or qualifications.

What Is A Host Site?
Food sales and distributions are handled by church host sites. Orders and payments are collected by the host sites during
the first part of each month, then turned in to the Angel Food main office in Monroe, Georgia on a pre-determined date. The
following week the host site picks up the food from an Angel Food drop site and brings the food back to the host site for
distribution.
On distribution day, those who ordered food will go to the host site at a pre-set time to pick up their food. Individuals
are asked to bring a medium size box to carry their food home in.
