About Us
First Church of God is affiliated with
the Church of God Reformation Movement with headquarters
in Anderson, Indiana.
We are located in Ira, Texas which is
approximately 10 miles southwest of Snyder, Texas.
We are within 100 miles of four major cities in West
Texas; Lubbock, Abilene, San Angelo, and Midland/Odessa. We

Pastor Rocky Alexander has been in Ira
for over 11 years, moving to Ira in 1998 from Paragould,
Arkansas. He and his wife, Sheila, have been married
for 30 years and they have one daughter, Amanda. She
is married to husband Carey and they have one
daughter, Emily.
Pastor Rocky was ordained by
the Church of God in 1992. He pastored churches in
San Angelo, Texas (1989-1993) and Paragould,
Arkansas (1993-1998) before coming to Ira |

Youth Pastor Susan Porter has been in
Ira for four years. Susan and her husband, C.W.
moved to Ira from San Angelo in 2005.
Pastor Susan was ordained by
the Church of God in March 2009. She has served as
youth pastor at Ridglea Church of God in Ft. Worth,
Texas and has directed many camps and youth
activities. |
